I used to dread my extended family’s inevitable tirades against Americanised pronunciations (that’s pro-NUN, not pro-NOUN, by the way :P ) of words in Australia at our regular dinners… but now I just join in :D

Grace: Haha, yes, the bakers seemed to be thinking “Chocolate is good – chuck it in! Mousse is good – add that! I like cookies – why not put some of those on too?” etc etc :D

Lorraine: Your mum and I would probably get along well, then! I’ve often considered editing/proof-reading as a career, and once thought I might create the position of restaurant-menu-fixer-upperer just so I can fill it!

My favourite food words, in no particular order: bibimbap, watercress, meringue, horseradish, fudge, pickle, honeycomb.

I could go on and on…this constitutes a blog post in itself, I think!
