For my first foray into the world of American chocolate company Scharffen Berger, I purchased their 70% Bittersweet bar. While the Milk Chocolate with Sea Salted Almonds and Dark Chocolate Nibby bars attempted to seduce me with their glitzy adornments, I wanted to gain a sense of the quality of Scharffen Berger’s chocolate in and of itself. (Oh salted bar, I will be back for you.) Sharffen Berger describes this bar as having “bright fruitiness and a long, smooth finish”. I don’t dispute this, yet at the same time nothing in the taste stood out to me enough to justify a repeat purchase.

Yes, this is a classy shot taken on my leg. Forgive me, I took this while waiting for Wintuk to start.
You’ve turned writing about chocolate into an art form. Here’s hoping you make some more elderly friends on your next train ride!
*laughs uproariously* I did! I’m an old-lady-friend magnet! Post to come…
Good for you … can’t wait for the post.
